AdvOSS HSS is required by any communications service providers such as Telecoms, wired and wireless broadband providers in 3G, 4G, LTE or other technologies as the centralized data repository. It stores subscribers identities and subscription data about all subscribers and their service offerings. It is also required to keep track of service add-ons and their subscriptions by individual subscribers. It serves service profiles to Application servers or policy enforcement points.
