• Routing Core
  
  Routing Core is the brain of the Least Cost Routing product. It performs the actual route selection logic based on many complex parameters to assure that the route selected generates a value for the customers. It applies constrains checking and cost optimization algorithms to find out the most appropriate route for the call that offers least cost with required constraint parameters.
   
• Radius Interface
  
  The Radius Interface module is responsible for managing the interaction with the switching entities e.g. Softswitch, Gateway or Application Server sending the routing request. Alpine LCR receives radius access request which is treated as the routing request by the Alpine LCR, The Alpine LCR after performing the routing selection logic respond with the route list containing the routes and their priorities in Radius Access Accept.
   
• Routing Cache/Tables
  
  Alpine LCR maintains the list of routes, destinations and routing plans in its cache for fast performance and its cache management feature keeps these routes, destinations, rates, routing plans and other information synched with backend routing data repository.
   
• Configuration & Monitoring Interface with Admin GUI
  
  The Alpine LCR can talk to it external Administration & Monitoring GUI that can be used for the configuration of the Alpine LCR and monitoring of the current state on the Alpine LCR. Alpine LCR maintains a UDP interface with the external Administration GUI. The messages transmitted over this interface are XML messages.
   
• Database Interface
  
  The Alpine LCR can talk to MySQL and Oracle Databases containing the routing information. Alpine LCR supports MySQL and Oracle database clients for retrieving & manipulating the routing data. Alpine LCR product comes with the schema for the routing data which is automatically created in the target DBMS during the installation process. The service providers/operators need to load their routing data into the tables created as the part of installation.
